I don't know about you, but I'm feeling twenty-- three?
Damn, I can no longer use that meme. Nonetheless, here's to being 23! And to celebrate, I'm continuing my tradition of recommending YOU guys books as my birthday present to you. This tradition is probably silly as these posts are only going to get longer and longer as the years go by, but it's great to be able to share some of my favourite books with you year after year.
Now, some of these books have appeared on my previous two lists, but that just means they're books you NEED to read! If you're interested, check out my 2016 and 2017 birthday recommendation lists for even more books to add to your TBR list. So let's get started!

My family’s whiskey empire needs to keep me as CEO. But thanks to my dad’s will, to take my place as rightful head of the company, I need to find a wife. If I could just get my brother Sean's pain-in-the-arse best mate, Grace, out of my head long enough to focus on finding a decent woman.
The woman maddens me, but she's a longtime friend of the family, so giving her a job as my assistant is the only way I can keep everyone off my back. But the more time I spend with her, the more I find myself looking differently at this girl from my past.
Too bad she’s decided not to give me the time of day.

My name is Brooke Barker...
And I'm a freaking disaster.
No, seriously. I’m a college drop-out working a dead-end job, my best friend Carly’s dog gets more action than I do, and I have more bad dates in my diary than there are movie remakes.
Not to mention I'm completely and utterly in love with Cain Elliott.
The problem? He’s in a relationship. With a girl who’s so plastic she makes Barbie cry herself to sleep with jealousy.
The second problem? He's my best friend.
My shut-up-and-put-on-Harry-Potter, yes-this-is-your-shirt, help-I-have-no-power, crap-I’m-out-of-tampons, kinda best friend.
And that’s all he can be, right?

Imagine this. You’re ready to leave after a one-night stand, and you’re figuring out how to—shock horror—leave your number and ask him to be your fake boyfriend for your sister’s wedding this weekend. When he wakes up. Well, that happened to me. And over coffee and omelets, I found myself a date.
Which was how I ended up arriving at the wedding with a guy I knew nothing about. I didn’t know his last name, or how we met, or how long we’d been dating. I didn’t know where he grew up, what he’d majored in in college, or how many siblings he had. I sure as hell didn’t know he was Adam Winters, hotshot hockey player—and not only my father’s favorite player, but my little nephew’s freakin’ idol. Which means I’m in trouble. Big, big trouble. My mother is suspicious, my sister is bridezilla on crack, and my grandpa will tell anyone who’ll listen about his time in Amsterdam’s Red Light District. Four days. I have to keep this up for four days, and then Adam and I can return to our regular lives, where we don’t have sex whenever we’re alone and my family aren’t interrogating him over his intentions with me.
At least, that’s the plan. And we all know what happens to those.

1.Hate-screw my high school nemesis.
2.Remember to hate him.
3.Prove my brother wrong.
It should be easy.
As the owner of Pick-A-D*ck, New Orleans’ premier hook-up website, my job is simple. Connect two people for a no-strings, no-expectations hook-up. The plus for my clients is that I’m the one who gets to sift through the d*ck pics—except this time, they're required.
My problem? My brother, co-owner of Pick-A-D*ck’s sister dating site, doesn’t believe it’s possible to hook up with someone three times and not fall in love.
I disagree. I know it’s possible.
And my disagreement is exactly how I end up reconnected with my high school nemesis, Elliott Sloane. The guy who asked me to junior prom and then stood me up. Who egged my car when I rejected him, and convinced my senior homecoming date to ghost me.
It should be easy to hate-screw him. If only he was still that person, instead of a hot-as-hell single dad, working as a builder to make ends’ meet, fighting for custody of his daughter.

He’s keeping me up all night long…
Emerson Hayes is sexy, arrogant, and has abs that would put a Hemsworth to shame. He’s also opening a bar with his buddies right below my apartment. Goodbye, peace and quiet, hello sleepless nights fantasizing about my hot new landlord…
But when my stuffy workplace makes it clear I need a plus-one for our events, I have the perfect way to even the score. Emerson is A+ arm-candy… as long as I can resist taking a bite. Our arrangement is supposed to be just for show, but Emerson is like that fifth shot of tequila: tempting, intoxicating, and liable to leave me flat on my back with my panties around my ankles, begging for more.
Maybe I should stay for just one more round…
Hey There Booklovers!
Can you believe it's September?! Where on earth has this year gone??
Today, I'm bringing you the final part in my 2018 Anticipated Releases series, looking at ten books that are coming out in the final four months of the year. We've seen so many amazing books released so far this year, and there's still so many more to come - this is just ten of hundreds of books that I know you guys are looking forward to getting your hands on.
I've been in a weird reading slump most of this year, so I don't know when I'm actually going to get around to reading any of these books, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited to see them released into the world!
Hey There Booklovers!
Okay, how are we into July already??? Did we skip a few months? Despite how fast the year is going, I have finally managed to read a good number of books this past month. I'm still way behind on my reading goal, but I'm still so glad that I'm powering through some amazing books. Fingers crossed I can keep this up and read all the books I've already started but haven't gotten around to finishing.
So here's what I've read this two months!

I know better than to get involved with a bad boy like Charlie. But now he’s on a winning streak, he thinks I’m his lucky charm - and you know what’s luckier than a kiss?
Suddenly, I've got paparazzi on my trail, exes coming out of the woodwork — and you don’t know ‘cutthroat’ until you’ve seen a pack of hungry socialites set loose near the Royal Family.

Series: Fortunate #3
Ivy Banners has just returned home to Fortune with her tail tucked firmly between her legs. Her career has been put on hold (indefinitely), her family think it's the perfect time for her to settle down with a husband and a baby (to her horror) and her relationship status is less than ideal (okay, she's heartbroken).
Nash Peeters is one of her oldest friends. He's the boy who shoved worms down her pants when she was a kid, the boy who helped her cause mischief when they were teenagers, the boy who taught her everything she needed to know about climbing trees and kidnapping gnomes. He's her best friend, her partner in crime, and now he's her roommate too. Oh, and he's also very, very heartbroken. So when Nash suggests the two of them share a no strings night of hot rebound sex, it seems like the perfect solution.
What could go wrong with that?
Because Ivy and Nash, they're too awesome to let a little thing like sex ruin their friendship. They're not going to fall for each other, they're not going to develop feelings for each other and make things weird between them. No way, not them. Until. . .until they do.
Turns out falling in love. . .it's kind of unavoidable.

Jemma Peeters knows exactly what she wants out of life, right down to the very last detail. She has it all planned out – the perfect career, the perfect husband, the perfect family. It's going to be. . .well, perfect. She knows how she wants things, and even how her perfect man will be.
Reid Padin is NOT it. He's dangerously sexy and annoyingly arrogant. He smokes too much, drinks too much and drives his stupid motorcycle way too fast. He curses like a sailor and goes through so many women he can't even remember their names. He's wrong for her in every way.
So why can't she stay away from him?
When Jemma accidentally stumbles into the tattoo shop where Reid works, an unlikely friendship is born. He'll give her freedom, he'll make her feel things she's never felt before, he'll show her that she's just as flawed as anyone else. Soon, lines are crossed, boundaries are obliterated and Jemma learns that a person's imperfections are kind of what makes them perfect.
He wants her, she wants him, and only her stubbornness will stand in their way.

When Elle decides to run a kissing booth for the school carnival, she never imagines she'll sit in it – or that her first ever kiss would be with bad boy Noah.
From that moment, her life is turned upside down – but is this a romance destined for happiness or heartbreak?
No, I haven't forgotten about this blog (see, I just updated the header image!), its just that I'm in a bit of a reading slump at the moment, so don't have anything to write about or review. While I try to work on that, here's the beginnings of a little story I wanted to share.
So, way back in like 2005-07 (I'm not really sure when to be honest), my cousin Rhys and I were at our Nan and Pop's for the school holidays and, somehow, started writing a story on her computer. I don't know why we went from playing games on the computer to trying to write a story, but we did. I'm pretty sure we just spent an afternoon writing it and then never returned, so it's far from completed and I'm not sure where we were going to take it - I don't even think we knew at the time what the hell we were writing about. I didn't have the original file, but I did have a printed copy that I typed up a few years ago so that I could keep this piece of literary genius forever. I just rediscovered it on my hard drive and had to share it with you all. Remember, we were like 10-12 years old!

Series: A Court Of Thorns And Roses #3.5
The Winter Solstice. In a week. I was still new enough to being High Lady that I had no idea what my formal role was to be. If we'd have a High Priestess do some odious ceremony, as lanthe had done the year before A year. Gods, nearly a year since Rhys had called in his bargain, desperate to get me away from the poison of the Spring Court to save me from my despair. Had he been only a minute later, the Mother knew what would have happened. Where I'd now be. Snow swirled and eddied in the garden, catching in the brown fibers of the burlap covering the shrubs My mate who had worked so hard and so selflessly, all without hope that I would ever be with him We had both fought for that love, bled for it. Rhys had died for it.
I was kindly sent a copy of this book for review from Bloomsbury Australia in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Another month has come and gone and I honestly don't know where the year is going! They say time doesn't actually go faster or slower but I swear it's getting faster these days. So I'm going to blame the fact that I only read three books this month - two of which were graphic novels - on the fact that time is going faster than it's supposed to. Even though I only read three books, they were three awesome books and I'm excited for what's to come in May - some amazing books are coming out that I'm going to devour the moment I get my hands on them (I'm currently taking a break from A Court Of Frost & Starlight to finish this post).
Without further ado, here's my April wrap up!
