It's just after 3:30pm here, and we've entered into the 18th hour of the Readathon. I'm taking a quick reading break to participate in some of the mini-challenges, and watch some vloggers.
So, here is some of the best books I've read this year!
Best Book of Your Reading Year
Has to go to Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard! It was such an amazing read and the world was beautifully created. The plot twists in the book were just amazing and I seriously cannot wait until the next book comes out next year, because I just can't get enough of the story, the characters and the world. So, can I get the sequel right now?
Best YA Book of Your Reading Year
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, hands down! It was totally relatable (hello, major Harry Potter fangirl right here!) and if you are a fan of anything, you will definitely love this book. I can't wait to read Carry On later this year.
Best Non-Fiction Book of Your Reading Year
I only just read it, but I loved Very Good Lives by J.K Rowling, which is the commencement speech she gave at the 2008 Harvard graduation. It was so thought-provoking and inspiring, and really shows how amazing Rowling is as a person. Plus, the book had beautiful illustrations. I will be posted a full review soon.
Best Fantasy Book of Your Reading Year
It's a reread, but I read it this year all the same, and that is the Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking. I can't pick just one of the books, because they are all so good, and the story could literally be combined into one book. I love the story so much, and will definitely be reading it again in the future. Review of each book coming soon.
I'll post some more of these later, but I hope it gives you some inspiration for a new read, or gives you some insight into what I love to read.
Keep reading Readathoners!
See You Soon!
